Suspension?
Hi i have a 2004 Nissan 350Z. when i bought one of the previous owners lowered the car 2 inches in the front and back. he also put a body kit on it. now the body kit looks awesome but it rides so low that i rub, scrape, and hit on just about everything. as it is it sits so low that i cant jack it up on my own. so i cant see what kind of suspension is on there. all i really know is that it is not on adjustable coils and there is not room to "jerry rig" it. so im wondering if it would be better to get a whole new suspension, or figure out what specific parts i can change with out changing the whole set up. I want to raise my car up 1 inch. so 1 inch lower than stock, 1 inch higher than it is now.

UNLESS the car is dumped on coilovers, in which case, will need shocks to go with the springs. But then again, if they are coilovers, just adjust 'em up!
Never understand why people dump their cars to a point where you can't even drive 'em, let alone being so low that it harms handling.... just seems counterintuitive and, well, dumb to me.

ok, so if i were to go with the Eibach pro kit springs would that bring my ride up? because it cannot sit this low any more it is literally destroying the body.it has to come up at least 1 inch, bare minimum.
i also appreciate the advice thank you all

i am 90 % sure that that they are not stock. mechanically and physically there is nothing wrong with the shock. the car drives wonderfully.
Again thanks for the advice very helpful.

Lowering your car that much does one thing and on thing only and that is screw the suspension up so much that it just becomes unworkable. The centre of gravity is changed so much that it becomes dangerous when cornering quickly and even if it is possible to have it aligned properly that last thing it'll do is go round corners like its on rails. Travlee and MicVelo have it right. There's a reason these car groups are called "Low n Slow" and thats because "Fast n Trashed" will never catch on.

ok so a new question regarding the sit height of the car and the body kit. if i were to bring it back to stock height is there a way to compensate for the space between the tire and bottom of the wheel well? becasue i had honda del sol that was lowered and when i changed the suspension there was so much room between the two it looked so stupid. i think i would like to bring it up but am afraid that with the body kit looking the way it does if i bring it up to high it will just look silly. any suggestions?

Some pics
It's a shame because I love how it looks at this height but plain and simple it's just too low.
Rear wheel I try to picture what an inch or difference would like and I'm mildly worried. (also I would note that both rear tires have 2-3 inch spaces so the rear wheels actually sit 4-6 inches wider than a normal Z)
