It doesn't sound like the timing chain. I just did part of mine and it's in the front of the engine clearly.

I got money on rocks

Drives a performance car... engine starts making a weird noise after it overheats... completely ignore it and keep driving... now sounds like a tractor.

What were you thinking?

Could have been something so simple, like a bad water pump, or air in the coolant lines, and you most likely destroyed your engine.

Depending on how hot it got you probably blew a head gasket.

How's your coolant and oil?

I do believe that one of the cyclinders in the engine are warped and may need reboring but whether that is the problem I'm not sure. There used to be white fumes coming out of the exhaust but that was a while ago. Not so sure now. When you say colour in the exhaust do you really mean inside the exhaust like stuck on the inside? or the smoke?
I was asking about the color of the “smoke” coming from your exhaust. If the exhaust in the air has a white color, you have coolant leaking into the engine. That happens when the head is warped and the head gasket loses its seal. In this instance you often have a damaged camshaft causing noisy lifters (that sounds a little like your recording).
