...my headlights keep going out. I have a 2004 Nissan 350Z Touring edition and I've been told due to the ballast used in my Z, the headlights are not like the base version of the 350Z. Nissan quotes me $1000 just to fix the light because it's never just the bulb. I've spent too much on this in the past. Is there any way that I can replace the headlight system with something more economical cause I'm so pissed I almost want to buy another car.

 

Check out theretrofitsource.com for aftermarket systems. I've always had good luck with their Morimoto components. It may require some wiring modifications.

Or, you could always downgrade to the halogen lights that Nissan used in the base models.

But, if your ballasts keep blowing or going out, it would seem like there's a bigger problem that needs to be resolved first.
