Default 2006 350Z passenger window

I have a big issue that no one seems to have an answer too and i can not find a thread that has this problem and resolution.

Passenger windows does not go up or down with Key fob or switch. Drivers side window works fine but passenger windows does not respond.

ive verified the passenger window is getting voltage and ive tested the old window motor on the driver side and it works.

Door locks on passenger side work and switch gives off a clicking sound when you click it or click down from the drivers side switch.

tried doing the Auto reset but passenger window is still not responding.

is there there a fuse or something that can just make the passenger side window stop working?

on the drivers door handle, above the window switches, there is a passenger side lock out button that gets pressed causing your symptoms

Hey tavlee

I tried the switch and it does nothing the drivers side still goes down and the passengers side is doing nothing

how can I test to see if the switch is depressed? It clicks up and down when I push it.

Sounds like the common "dead window motor" issue. Happens a lot since Nissan sourced the motor from Lucas.

I'm kidding about the Lucas sourcing.

But yeah, pretty common issue on Z cars. Mine had just gotten two fresh motors when I bought it six years ago. Both are now doing the ol' "needs a reset or replacement" thing and I've only driven the car like 6k miles in 6 years.

MicVelo,

thank you, so far i have tried to find a bad ground wire and none of the wires are chipped or exposed. the only wires not hooked up is the speaker wire to the passenger speaker, but even when i plug it in their is still no power. speaker works tho.

i also used that post to remove and replace the window motor so i know i didn't touch or nick any wires when removing the panel.

any other suggestions? im open to anything at this point.

Common problem.

Activator Switch and or Motor are temperamental and have a high rate of failure.

Plenty of threads on the matter.

My passenger side on its way out...

Sometimes a bang on the door skin, and sending it some positive mental vibes will help get it to function

Update: i found out it was the switch. so i went to a junk yard trying to find a 350Z passenger switch but the 350z they had was scarped to nothing. i went around looking at other Nissans and saw the murano has the same set up as the 350z. so i pulled a switch from a 2004, 2005, 2006, and a 2007,

i only purchased the 2006 for 13.00 and it works.

if any one is looking to replace the passenger switch look for the Nissan murano as it shares the same window set up.

thank you everyone for your help
