Default Q for 6MT owners: how easy is it to drive slowly in 1st? -

Does the car require a lot of clutch work to maneuver in the parking lot, or will it drive smoothly at near-idle speeds in 1st gear? Does it tend to buck a lot at lower speeds?
Thanks,
Mika

Its not too hard to drive. You might need to use the cluth quite a bit though. My only complaint with 1st is you cant coast, when you pull your foot of the gas, it SLOWS down. This is normal with most manuals, but I have been driving an auto for the past year...

You can idle around in first if you want. No bucking.

drove through San Francisco in very heavy traffic ..

i found the clutch and the 1st gear to be extremely responsive in the very hilly sf traffic. Maybe it was because the car is rear wheel drive or because of the torque but the car doesnt roll back very easily even on very high grades.

First is amazing. You can putter along at granny speeds and not have the car buck.

I'm still not used to starting it on a hill...seems like I'm the only one.
