cranks but wont start, any suggestions?
everything was fine until i accelerated harder than usual on a hill. then the engine started clicking. it sounded like it was coming from the front of the engine, above the belt and pulleys. i let the car sit for 6 hrs and when i turned it on it was still clicking. i was warming the car up and it shut off by itself. now it cranks but doesnt turn on. help please!!!!!

Well, I took it to the mechanic. Timing chain jumped on me, fortunately the valves appear to be fine according to the leak down test. However, I’m gonna have to do an engine swap because the previous owner did some soldering underneath the engine which is making my mechanic Leary about working on this engine. He says it might be better to just replace it and avoid further complications down the road. So I’m looking for salvaged vehicles or junkyard engines. I’m a mess right now, I just paid $4,200 for this car less than a month ago from a private party.
