08' 350Z rear end question
I just bought my first 350Z ever. It's an 08' 6 speed. I've gotten on it a few times (not real hard), & it only spins one tire. Is this just how the factory rear end works?
Thanks

Welcome and congrats on your '08 Z. But you don't mention which model you have. If it's a base model, you have an open diff and no surprise with the wheelspin. If not, the viscous LSD (VLSD) does have it's limitations with the other Z models.

Get a wavetrac.
It will still give you SOME power when wheels come up unlike the Quaife.
Clutch type LSDs like the Nismo you should stay away from unless you like changing clutch packs every so often, and they should have a diff cooler if you actually ride it hard.

What about a factory LSD out of a 350z (not Nismo)? Same clutch pack problem? It's my daily driver, with some time to time gettin on it or highway race. I'm not drifting it or taking it to the track.

The factory unit is a viscous LSD and doesn't use a clutch pack. It's not as effective, but for spirited DD, it's a good, low-cost option. BTW- if you want to highway race, please take it to the track instead. We've had enough Zs wrecked and people hurt with that ****.
