S chassis VS Z when drifting
I’ve seen a ton of videos of people doing fat manjis and flicking s13-14-15 side to side before entering a corner in japan, but I cannot find any videos of someone shredding like that on a Z? Are they really that heavy? I’ve been debating on trading my Z for an S chassis but something tells me it’s not impossible to drive it like that, and if you do get to have the ***** to flick a fat Z like Japanese people do with their ae86’s and 240’s, then you’ll be respected😂, so, are they that much heavier?
For want of a nail, the horseshoe was lost. For want of a horseshoe, the steed was lost. For want of a steed, the message was not delivered. For want of an undelivered message...

-Here's a novel idea: drive for the fun of it, not for what people will think of you. In the end, nobody gives a rat's a** about your mad skills. Why do you think everyone laughs so hard when someone drifts into a pole?

Being Japanese American and having owned both the Z33 and the S13, I'd say respect for driving skill is earned no matter what the hell you're driving. Both platforms are balanced nearly 50/50 and make good cars for racing and drifting. I've seen as many S13/14/15 trashed from noobs drifting, as I have Z33s. The 350Z is light years ahead in comfort and sophistication (as it should be, being almost a decade later in development).

And Mic drifts off into his old foge"....why, back in the day" mode....
The first day of driving school waaaaaaay back in the Pleistocene era when dinosaurs still roamed the earth and were not yet fuel for our cars, our class was broken up into groups of 5 and stuffed into a full size Ford van. Our instructor at Bondurant - a woman, I might add just for the halibut - took us on our first lap around the track, then named "Sears Point International Raceway" (now "Sonoma Raceway").
Did I scream like a baby when she put the vehicle - that in everyone's mind should NOT have been on a track - into turns faster than I'd ever driven and caught the tail as it just started to slide? Well, no, and I didn't check my skivvies for skid marks; but you bet your a$$ she got our respect PRONTO and it had NOTHING to do with her driving a hot vehicle. Cue Aretha..... R-E-S-P-E......
