Default Another CSC failure... CMAK going in.

So, the POS OEM slave finally failed at 100k miles, and I replaced it reluctantly with a new OEM-replica slave cylinder that I had available in a pinch. Well, let’s say it made it TWO HUNDRED f’n miles before it blew again, during the second bleed while it was in the air (pedal never felt right). Today, I got my
ZSpeed CMAK Relocation Kit. Any thoughts or other experiences besides the ones already posted here regarding this system? Seems to be bulletproof... going back together tomorrow after I powder-coat the trans gunmetal (I know, I know...). Thoughts? 🤔

7/2:CSC failed. Old clutch out, trashed by brake fluid soaking it.

Friday 7/5: New CSC fitted.

Friday 7/5: New clutch in.

7/9: Brand new CSC dies.

7/11: Trans out for cleaning/powder-coat tomorrow.

7/11:ZSpeed CMAK arrives. Hoping for the best (a reliable clutch SC). #FAIL Nissan. BIG fail. (Although the second slave I used was an OEM replica, but regardless).

As expected, this system works AMAZING. Better than it ever was with the OEM slave! 💪

OEM trash removed.

ZSpeed’s HD conventional-style release bearing. Built like a tank, just like the rest of the system!

CMAK installed! Works great!

Concentric clutch throw outs are used by many manufactures and they are all prone to premature failure so it's not an exclusive Nissan problem. We are lucky in that the system can be converted to an external setup.

Thank you, Joe, for the awesome fix. Feels like my S2000 clutch now, albeit a bit “heavier” 😎 👍.

As a mechanical engineer, I’m well aware that many manufacturers “created ****” with these designs. Horrible idea, reasoning-be-damned. There isn’t a car or truck on the road that doesn’t have room beside the trans-case for a slave/bracket. 🤦*♂️
