Should I turbo the z or supercharge it.. What route should I take??
I’ve had my 08 hr for half a year now. I bought the z to have fun with and have power to make a dent on the street around my neighborhood cause we all about cars and power here.. I’ve been doing lots of research on which path to take to gain the most power and is safe for the enginge.. I want to TT it but the price are way to high so I was thinking about supercharging it..
My bar is somewhere around the 700hp and i know it’s a long way from now.. I can deal with the wait and everything since the car is parked to be kept in good maintenance and low mileage.
I just want to start somewhere.. I’m all ears.!

I know most S/C owner usually goes Turbo after a while... just saying. Keep the stock block, Turbo it, add support mods, keep boost at 8-10 PSI, it'll make 450-500 and last a bit of time before giving out. 700HP means spending more, and V6 costs so much to build as oppose to inline-4, V8 and Inline-6.

Look into AAM Twin-Turbo Kit for the HR. It's at $10K, comes with about everything you need and it's 100% bolts-on, no custom fab. needed. Do more research before putting any money down.

are you doing some block and internal work before the turbo? I had mine built and ready for turbo, but after running it...no way I am going to turbo it. I have been having fun daily driving it for 2 years now. Just had a good tune with some proxes 295 on 12" wide at rear. I am putting 315ish at wheels with single str8 exhaust. I discarded plastic panels. faster and more fun than my M3......people tells me all the time is just a Nissan, but when you know your car you, can do a thing or two. plus I am a believer of driver mod, good tires and weight reduction..... I would encourage you to go N.A. learn the curve and then turbo it. BTW, enjoy the built and I hope the best for your project.

Yes. I’m planning on building the long block. I wanna get to know my engine better as I go through that process.. like you said after you built your motor you didn’t go through the process of adding on the turbo.. I’d like to reach that point where I can either stop there and have fun with the car or keep on going knowing the car is ready to handle that much power from adding on the turbos..
I’m not planning on half *** do the job.. if money ought to be an issue there comes The reason why it’s called a “PROJECT CAR” meaning I do not have to rush anything..I also don’t wanna spend my money on parts that are not going to help the build in any way shape or form..hence why I started this thread..for people like y’all who’ve already been through what’s coming my way..

If you don't want to reach 700 HP then go Supercharger.
If you do want to reach 700 HP then go twin turbo and built motor like me.
If you want to be a heretic, then LS swap it (still needs turbo or supercharger)
Overall, if money isn't a concern, turbos will ALWAYS be superior to superchargers in almost every respect except cost and installation.
