Well, how much do you actually have to spend on this, because without knowing that number we can't recommend anything

it's a good point … but OP has had the car for one half of one year … so he is a seasoned expert … and he obviously came to the right place to talk FI on a VQ. I think we alllllll can learn a little something from him!

He only wants to. . . about triple the WHP of the Z. Shouldn't cost too much

Rather than entertain the idea, I'll be the a-hole and say what others are thinking..

Yes you would, don't kid yourself. Until you start laying out some real and reasonable details and desires then you are no different than many of the other dreamers with hopes larger than their bank account that we frequently run into.

let me offer the reversed side of this statement -

Yes you would, don't kid yourself. If you were serious or serious enough and/or had the disposable income you'd have parts that arrived last month, with components at the machine shop, you'd have pictures of your build, you'd have progress, and likely some discussion but in reality, you're sitting on the pot trying to take a ****.

heres a fine recent example:

that's right! did you want to see yourself to the door??

Ghost - if you last longer than a few weeks in these parts you'll soon understand where everyone is coming from. Then a newb will post something stupid and you'll jump on him - circle of life

No one is saying you can't come on here and get advice/help with your build along the way, we are just saying that in order to be taken seriously you will need to put forth something that shows us that you are ACTUALLY going to go through with this. That video that was posted toward the beginning of your thread wasn't just way out of left field, it is pretty much spot on with how it goes alot of the time.

Back in the day these threads were much more serious because the platform was still fresh and everyone wanted to see it's potential. As years have gone by and other models have entered the market, no one is throwing the 350 at the top of their list for an over-the-top build.
