Default Battery Replacement and Possible Loss of Computer Memory

I plan on replacement of the battery in my '07 base model (with NAPA's top of line battery) and am considering connecting a trickle-charger to the
battery cables during replacement to avoid losing various computer settings. Is this really needed? My maintenance manual states to be sure
the windows are down and lists processes I must go thru to restore tac settings and throttle-by-wire settings. I'm also wondering if my radio will
need code resetting (theft prevention).

I don't know if it's necessary or not but from my days in the shop, I'm in the habit of using a settings keeper, just in case. (Having to reprogram a customer car is a waste of shop time.)

Something simple like this: https://www.walmart.com/ip/NOCO-Sett...ttery/16213367

Never lost a setting during a battery change with this plugged in. They also have a model that plugs into the OBD port. Never used that one as my ten year old Noco still works fine with a fresh battery just to be safe.

I had issues with my trickle charger killing my batteries since I only I drive my Z ~2k miles per year since 2005. I pull the plug on the battery when not in use now. Not sure of pros or cons, I haven't had any issues with throttle by wire or tach settings. Only thing that has lost its settings is the radio.

I replaced the battery in my 2007 350Z with no problems! Just loosened the battery cables of the old battery, replaced with the new battery and tightened the cables, car started right up ... no problems, no issues!
