Locked out, keys in the trunk.
Sup guys , long story short. My car was locked, opened my trunk with they key remote, left the keys in the trunk. I was able to get inside my car with the help of a knife and a coat hanger. Once inside, my alarm went off. Hit the lock and unlock then tried to open the trunk with the rear bottom (above the license plate) but the trunk won’t open. Any idea why the trunk isn’t opening manually anymore ? Or any tip on how to get my trunk to open ?
please help lol

Surely by now you have retrieved the keyfob. Have you tried the trunk release on the fob since? and if so did THAT get the push button near the license plate to work again?
It does sound weird that unlocking the car didn't activate the button to work.
