Maybe find a hatch at a wrecker or see if someone wants to trade their hatch for your winged hatch.

In defense of Rotella T6. Most people I know with motorcycles and a couple people I know with Superbikea run the T6. 7500 rpm is nothing. If it handles the rpms of a bike it can handle the wimoy 7500 this car revs to. T6 is just an oil. The BMW guys have sent it all in for testing and whatnot and found it to be just as durable as Mobil 1 and way outpacing RP.

I might just run it for a couple of rounds just so the detergents clean out the engine. I honestly have no clue what this guy been running in the past and I'm no super sure he shelled out the extra dough for synthetic oil

After the radiator and flushing all the fluids she will need some spark plugs ($100 a set, ouch). Over the winter she will get new shocks (oem), some St swaybars, new shoes (245/255 Federal ss595), exhaust (going to do the godspeed with magnaflow x pipe route), and if i get around to it I'll drop in a OS Giken 1.5 LSD and poly diff mounts.

That's about all I'll do to it. I have heavily modified cars before just to have them blow up or some random driver just run into it. Learned my lesson. I just make cars a little more fun now and let them be.

I also HATE this shift ****. What shift **** do you guys like? I'm used to a joystick style. The ball feels wierd with this short of throw

Not sure where you're getting your spark plug pricing from, but even the latest NGK ruthenium plugs are only about $9/each from Rockauto. Here's a link to the post detailing why they're likely better than the original spec NGKs:

I looked into rockauto last night and you're right, $8 a pop. They also have the CSF radiator for like $70 something. Z1 performance wants $148 for the same radiator. Rockauto is going to be my friend with this car

I run NGK coppers in my turbo Z. about $2 a piece

The hatch holes can be plugged with white caps, but you won't know the condition of the paint underneath until you unbolt that eyesore.

why not doing the coil+spark plugs? if you are not sure about the previous owner. I dont know anybody on the bimmer forum, mye46 or mfest group running rotella r6. I would def consider stick to recommended oils here since 350's are not the best at running non OEM oil. I have re-built my engine twice and trust me, I have tried multiple oils.

congrats and it looks really clean for a florida 350z. enjoy

BMW guys run the Rotella because of lifter tick noise. The rotella has really quieted down the HR engine. Seems very happy with the oil. It's 5w-40 so it should be good. I'll be changing the oil every 3-4k so I'm thinking it really doesn't matter much. I'll bet this oil will come out super dirty due to all the detergents in the rotella
