Default Injun air intake

Have read about hydro-lock w/ air intake inhaling h2o.
My intake (Injhun), present when i purchased a few yrs ago, is very up front & present.
Heading South soon through some crappy weather & snowy/wet roads.
Would you be concerned?

Unless you've had a tune, there's little chance that your CAI is helping any output. It's another reason why I prefer the stock intake on '03 Z. Easy maintenance, straight shot of cool intake charge and little chance of taking on water. Alternate view is to use your Injen CAI on your southern trip, but be prepared to pull off the road and wait if you encounter heavy rain or streams of water.

Injen can be used as CAI and SRI so just change its configuration.

Thanks for the 2 replies.
I've been reading the many threads regarding this very question. Usually about gain in HP. What a can of worms.
I think I will plan my Southbound trip in good weather & change to SRI when able. Thanks again

I know someone IRL who hydro-locked his VQ with a long tube CAI. I was running one prior to going SC. My best advice- make sure you always run your lower engine cover/shroud and avoid deep standing water. You'll likely be ok.

The injen is just primed to suck in water, that's why my car only sees sunny days lol
