We just picked up an 06 QX1 base 6MT w/85k miles a month or so ago from the original owner.

It's my son's first Z (he's making the payments) and my first since a 81 ZX in high school, class of 85...yep, I'm old.

Looking forward to learning about this 33 from the group.

 

Welcome. That's a first.... referring to their car by the color code.

I constantly see people being redundant using the term "I got me an '08 HR" like it's a badge of superiority. (Which I find totally annoying.) But by color? That works.

 

It works because it's Pikes Peak White baby!!!!!!!

Was it still called PPW in ‘08? Could swear they changed the name to something bland.... Crystal white? Pearl white?

Not that it matters....still QX1..... “white”.

 

If I remember correctly it was changed to glacier white … but I could be wrong

I think in...ahem...2006 I read it was called Ivory Pearl. I'm stewpid, I originally typed 08 by mistake.

 

I kept staring at the hood and thinking “that’s not an ‘08...” but blamed my bad eyes and small phone; then decided I didn’t care any longer. Hahaha..... Nice car either way!

This isn't a build thread yet, but more like a running total for upkeep.

New Michelin Pilot Sports on stock wheels. (The Potenzas had a lot of tread but were 10 years old) new Schrader TPMS's.

New Nissan belts and OE pulley assemblies, K&N drop in, cleaned MAF, new PCV.

Oil change, new hatch struts, new cargo net, wipers, antenna.
