Just bought a new Z - What is all this equipment on it?
Hey all, very new Z owner here.
I just bought myself a 2005 350Z, which I'm beginning to think the previous owner didn't know about what was actually on it.
It currently has an OEM Nismo V3 Rear bumper and matching kit on it, with some unknown as of yet rear wing.
I have also found Zeal Function X coilovers on it, as well as an HKS SSM exhaust (JASMA 051).
It revs quite a bit higher than the stock engine normally would as well.
I'm aware these parts are somewhat high-end, but I'm not really sure exactly what they are or what they achieve and whether I should be doing anything else to it.
As far as I'm aware this stuff was all done in Japan before it was imported to my country - New Zealand.
If any of you could offer some insight that would be super awesome as I'm not 100% sure what exactly I've stumbled across.
Cheers
Zach

Bumper is purely aesthetic, maybe trimmed off some weight lmao, the coilovers can have great performance benefits if you plan on tracking or drifting the car, otherwise they are also just for looks. The exhaust is obviously for the improving of sound, could definitely add some horsepower as well. I would look and see if it has catalytic converters, if not look up test pipes, I would imagine these are installed. I would also look for aftermarket headers. You never know what they could have changed with the exhaust! Hope this helps
Also to add - Not sure what front bumper is on it, or the sideskirts. But the entire kit is plastic, as well as the wing which is an Asume Type 2.
It was imported with these mods, and has had one previous owner here who kinda didn't look after it very well. Has 160ks on it.
Why anyone would spend this kind of money on an auto Z is beyond me, but I suppose that's Japan for ya.

As everyone said, it's very tasteful goodies. Cherish them, and indeed, they're high-end add-ons. I'd love to have that ZEAL haha.
But something seems off.... that front bumper doesn't look like an OEM V3 Nismo, looks modified by where the side markers would sit. Japanese OEM V3 Nismo front don't have side markers either, only USDM. Front end bumper pic?
Have you looked in your engine bay?
EDIT: From the side, that front bumper looks like: Garage Mak Front-Bumper
