I’ve got an 05 35th anniversary edition 350z and I’m replacing the engine bay wiring harness. I bought a replacement harness from an 06 (DE) and I was wondering if this is a direct replacement. Thank you.

 

Yes, I believe it is the same (2003, 2004, 2005,and 2006).

 

what transmission do you run?
what transmission did the donor harness come from?

 

both are manuals.

 

Then, I think you are still OK. The harnesses sold online are labeled for 2003 to 2006.

Just be careful as the wire colors used in your 2006 donor harness may not match your 2005 factory service manual - not saying they are the same / not saying they are different - just saying they could be different and dont assume either way.

if you want a good exercise that'll help you learn the harness is to check continuity between a given connector and it's associated pin on the big ECU connector...If you do this, you should label each connector - it will really help with the coils and injector clips.
