There's a -2.7% difference in height F-R (26.03"/25.97" diameters F-R) which is a bit low and may trigger VDC. ECM is expecting lower wheel speed at the rear (right at 3.0% +/- 0.15% )

With 295/30s, the rear will show rear wheel speeds high, likely enough to trigger VDC.. I'd err towards a 285/35-19 (or possibly 295/35) just to be safe.

Can you double check the math. I find it to be almost exact heights. The rear being only .3% shorter.

its not 2.7%. It’s .27 of 1 %.

But his math is wrong though. The numbers he provided are not 2.7% different.

Ooops, good catch.... yer right, math error... I was looking at the scribble numbers on my napkin where the delta on the standard reference sizes (OE 18s) is -2.7% (averaged between comparison to front or rear) F to R difference and not the sizes you mentioned.

But answer still stands then, even moreso. These tires are almost identically sized diameter wise which means VDC will "TEND" to be even more aggravated because the rear is so close in size when it's expecting somewhere close to a 100:97 ratio F to R. I use the word "TEND" because there are many who run square setups and have no VDC errors and others who so much as deviate by a single size throw codes, lights and limp mode in a flash. I stand by my recommendation in choosing an alternate size that conforms to the 3% algorithm. There really shouldn't be any worry about going to an alternate because width is width.

Default 275 35 19 & 255 35 19??

hey guys hoping someone could chime in for me..... i recently was going to run a new setup with my rear tire being 295 and the fronts 255.... i've taken the car out to test the drive and i dont particular like the added unsprung weight... it just seems slower to change lanes than i have been use to. My previous setup was a 275r & 245f...

my question is.... I found a very good deal on a set of 275 michelins ... and im wondering if the 275 rear and 255 fronts would be okay to run together...
