Fuel system will always have to be upgraded for boost, no matter how low the power.

ati comes with a booster pump and controller. It works for up to 8psi. Then it cant push pressure high enough to keep up.

Best option is new pump, bigger injectors and a way to tune. Even better would be to also add a return fuel system.

And if so, what would be my necessary parts list? Thanks for any input guys! Also let me know what you would do to your Z if you had 4-6k to spend on it!
It's all fun and games until your $4-6k project turns into $10k+ worth of parts and tuning. Ask me how I know.

If I had that money I'd attack the suspension and wheels/tires.

What a classic. Also, if you dig through Alberto's videos you'll see me walk a boosted Z with a damn near stock Evo IX.

Booster pumps, additional injectors, etc. All useless, just delays the inevitable, might as well do it right the first time lol

Yes - for the cost of a fuel pump and some used (but flow tested and cleaned) injectors it'd be wise to upgrade ... they'll mesh well with Uprev.

Do it nice, or do it twice...

They belong in the Way Back Machine with MAP bleeders, Boost Timing Masters, and Mickey Mouse FMU's (exempting the good FMU's, btw, for apps that can use them).

TRUTH!
i was pretty blown a way when I bought this car and saw it put together like that. For the same money they charge for all that they could provide injectors and pump.

When i said it comes with that stuff I wasnt meaning its the right way. I also disagree with prochargers belt system, so I modified it. Stronger belt and downward tension instead of upward. Just do your homeworks... everyone is right do it right from the start.

When you buy used you get what you get. I personally have all the good fuel stuff to put in and this shelter order will give me time to do it. If it was mg car from the start it would never have been put together this way.

Anyone need a fmu? lol
