Hey guys,

I imported my Fairlady and it came with an Apexi N1 dual muffler, but everything else is stock.

Wondering what else you all would recommend for replacing the cats & stock y-pipe?

I don’t want it to be too obnoxiously loud, and would definitely like to be able to get some nice bangs & pops on downshift!

congrats and welcome to the community. You could perhaps get some resonated downpipes. Any plans on other upgrades?

 

Changing the cats would give you better gains and louder overall sound and maybe a better chance at popping. Since you don’t want it too loud a pair of HFC will do nice and spice it up a bit. As some other people will state on here, what is your goal with the car? Drift, track, DD, Weekend? Of course adding mods like these you think about getting a tune soon just to make sure everything is running smooth. Adding a tune could also adding that popping/banging easily

you could put a pair of art pipes on that will give you a nice gurgle, here is my old car 2 different setups
