so my z hasnt been starting the last few days, it will start when i jump it, so i replaced the battery. same issue. ive cleaned and tightened the terminals. ive tested it and its getting over a 12v connection. it started of with a fast ticking sound when i tried to crank it over, but after replacing the battery the dash lights dont even come on. any suggestions?

I would check: fuses, random ground causing drain, starter, and alternator next.

As sparco said. Start with checking fuses, and make sure the engine block ground strap is in good shape. The starter completes it's circuit through the block, it does not have a dedicated ground wire.

If you're going from a BMW to a 350z, you're probably going to be disappointed in the interior as some consider it "cheap". They're not the best if you're doing a lot of stop-and-go driving but other than that they're a fine car.

limp mode, it may be in limp mode. I'm not super familiar so ask or Google it.
