I can't believe it was eighteen years ago today that I picked up my LeMans Sunset Track Model 350Z. Being a big Z fan and owner of a '73 240Z, '74 260Z and '86 300ZX in my high school years (they were waaaaay cheaper back then, and I wish I could have kept them all!), I had followed the return of the Z for a long time on this site, watching all the spy videos and pictures before the Z's release. After seeing the prototype in life at the LA Auto Show, I was sold and had put my pre order down payment. Then I waited for what seemed like forever before taking delivery on October 2, 2002. It's a little under 25k miles at the moment, and still pretty much stock. Mods are the Top Secret carbon fiber front diffuser, JDM side markers, tint and neoprene seat covers. Otherwise everything's stock.
Lots of things have changed in life since I picked up the Z, but one thing hasn't. I still have a grin on my face when I get to take the Z out for a spin. Although I don't really post all that much, this site has been great. Here's to another eighteen years of my350Z and my Z (if gas vehicles are still allowed on the road - haha).

Here is his lower Brother with 16 years and 60k miles. Original paint and motor. Only mods are Wheels and the original Veilside spoiler. Both installed at 1 year that i bought the car.
I am like you that it is still my preferred car. I bought a Ford Mustang GT 2019 2 years ago
and when i want to do a Sunday trip i think twice which to use. Jajajajajaj
Great story. Glad to see there are still people that genuinely love these cars. I've had my Z for 9 years and I'm still in love with it. Still modding, still driving, still racing. She's got over 150k miles though. Haha. Plenty things have changed, but even after 3 kids, my wife understands the Z stays. Most recent purchases include aluminum splash tray, replica top secret rear diffuser, Nismo V3 wing, diff brace, passenger fender liner and a few other things. Just mock fitted at the moment. Need to measure and drill holes for everything.
My Z is only 17 years old in December (2003 was the launch year in the U.K.) and I have owned her since new; currently on 180,000 miles. She is still my main daily driver. Only mods are KW V3 suspension, Nismo exhaust and upgraded brake/clutch lines; otherwise stock. Original engine, new gearbox. I've driven to Asia (back to the U.K.).
I'll bet that was a fun drive to Asia. Need to take a long road trip.
Also have 2003 but I've only owned it for a little over a year. Hope I'll get 180,000 miles. Currently at 41,000.
Yes, it was fantastic! Drove through France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, ferry to Italy, France, U.K.! 5,000 miles in one trip.
25k on this 2007 Enthusiast 6MT. Pretty much stock. Still a joy to take out. Absolutely no issues, just oil changes and tires.
Stays in the garage in winter! It’s a keeper! 2007 Enthusiast 6MT ... only 25k miles!
