Default fastener questions - trunk area

I am in the process of putting Dynamat sound insulation in my Base MT. When I pulled out some trim I came across this bracket that seems to do nothing. Also the 4 bolt holes in the rear of the speaker enclosure trim piece were not fastened down. Seems like they had been at

one other time. PO had no recollection.
Any advice appreciated. Pic attached.

I'm not sure about the empty holes, but the bracket is used to fasten the top strap on a child sear.

Thanks for the reply, I will have to check the trim I removed, but that bracket was buried under plastic trim pieces rendering it inaccessible.

Those should be held down. Dude before me was right about those brackets. They are for a child seat. You can ditch them if you want.

As for the fasteners, I bought this little kit off Amazon for $20. It has 16 of the most common sizes. You can replace all the fasteners in the whole car if you want to. And your friends cars. Should be in every DIYers shelf
