Question 2003 v 2005 engine - question on part

I'm swpaping an engine pulled from a 2005 automatic 350z into my manual 2003 350z. The two engines do not look identical at the crank shaft.
The first photo is of my 2003 engine.
The second is of the 2005 engine.
Note that the 2005 is machined to have an additional section extending outward.

Does anyone know if it matters? Should I be able to simply use the 2005 engine as is or do I need to do something about this discepancy?

THANKS!

Is that an automatic pilot bushing sticking out of the 2005 engine? If so, I assume I should remove it for use with a manual transmission. Can someone confirm? Thanks!

Hmmm...about 25 minutes from the start of this thread until the OP answered it on their own. Is this a new record?
