I currently have a 2001 CL Type S....but I want a silver Touring Edition Z. The problem is....I can't get it less than sticker. What SHOULD I be paying for a new Touring Edition Z? I really want to buy one, but not for $35K!

Don't pay MSRP! Shop around to get the best deal. I suggest dealing with the fleet manager or internet department manager, not the regular salesmen. I was able to get $1000 off MSRP, and other forum members were able to do the same, if not better. Price your car at nissanusa.com, and go from there. Good luck!

You didnt mention what options were with the car.
but either way 35K is too much to pay for a Touring,
I paid 34K for my TRACK(no nav). When the 04's just came out and demand was crazy here in SoCal.
There is noway you should pay sticker. Shop around and be patient. run a search you'll find a thread around here that says what guys paid for thier Z's. Dealers were firm last year on MSRP. some even sold higher but there were deals out there. You should be able to get at least 1000 off MSRP.
Go to the regional forum and ask members in Chicago what dealership they recommend.

i have a 03 Touring and i payed only $23K for the car (had 12K miles). I shopped around my area for a week and found the best price. I think my car could've been a repo, but the payments are something i can handle for the next 3 years. The 03' models are coming down in price somewhat and im sure you can find a 03' Touring for under 30k.

I agree 35k is to high. KBB shows 04 invoice at 32,087 & retail at 35,224 (both based on my trim level). You should be able to get new for around 34k. If you're looking to pay less you'll probably need to go to a less expensive model.
