Default Performance parts?

So I'm looking at a few performance parts for my newly purchased 03 Z

it has a cat back, Cold air, suspension, AEM tune and larger injectors other then that shes stock

Was looking at heads, headers, Throttle body, and Intake plenum

My question is.. are they worth it? I don't want to go Forced or Spray on this car

Heads are about $2200 anyone know what kinda power gains were talking for $2200 bucks?

headers (longtubes) are about $750 what kinda power do you think for those?

thanks guys

Whether it's worth it is a subjective question. Headers might get you about 5-10 whp gains depending on which ones you go with. Personally, I stayed NA and did everything except for headers since it didn't seem worth it to me.

Just about everyone here will tell you that it's better to go FI for hp per dollar.

Normally I do FI on all my cars but this one has quite a bit of miles on it lol FI will likely kill it lol, after it dies and I do a rebuild I MAY but for now, I'm kind of following the path you took.

If you dont mind me asking with all mods (no headers) what kind of power are you making?

Sure thing. My current setup is as follows on my '05:

JWT conical air filter
Velocity stack/venturi ring
3.5" AdminTuning intake
75mm NWP throttle body
Z1 angled plenum spacer
Berk HFCs
Motordyne TDX2 Shockwave exhaust

Dyno'd at just under 270 at the wheels when I got it tuned.

On a Dynojet, I think stock at the wheels is typically somewhere between 230-240 based on what I've read from some other threads for the non-rev up DE.

Go FI ... you can get quite a bit more out of the engine.

Get a compression test and see how the engine is doing

I'd argue that staying NA, bolting on a bunch of parts, retuning, and driving the car hard (to get the most out of the parts you just put on) will do more damage and accelerate age more than FI. FI will make your engine more efficient ... you can drive the car under 6000rpm and be perectly fine and get 400hp all day long.
