Default Anyone one have info on 2005 Z

Hey,

I am buying a Z around late spring early summer. I was wondering if knows when the 2005 Z will be available. If its so far off, I would rather get a good deal on a 2004. If it is close I would rather have a 2005. I haven't found anything online or got a solid answer from NNA. Does anyone have any information?

Brad

usually the new models are available late august early Sept. You may need to order the car. I am sure a Nissan dealer can tell you
when the 04's came in. 05's would be about the same.

Yeah, I talked to the "Z specialist" as the lady called him and he said he had no information yet from Nissan. This was like 1 month or more ago. I definately would want to order one the second that option was available. I almost ordered one this month but the idea of having a new 2005 sounded like a good idea than a year old new 2004. Not that the car is a year old just that as far as insurance and worth of the vehicle it would be greater.

I say wait for the specs on the 05s to be released, see how they compare to those on the 04s.

The word I received from an individual at Nissan USA was August 3 and "very minor changes to the 2005 Z...mostly interior; next change slated for
2006."

If you can be that patient then I'd wait, every year Nissan will resolve more of the TSB's before the car even hits the road. I can't see there being any downsides to waiting for an '05 short of the waiting part.

Major changes in '06, eh? Sounds like I need to start saving to replace my '04 in '06. <grin>

I think it's unlikely there will be any big changes for the '05 model year. Most car companies seem to keep at least a three year model cycle.

The best chance for seeing the Z change would be for something like the supra to come out with a 350hp motor or something. Look at the Ford/dodge/Chevy full size Diesel truck market. Everytime one of them ups the hp, the others step it up as well to exceed the competition. thank goodness for wrx's and Evo's. It forces All manufactures to equal or exceed their performance. Likewise, Porche and BMW owners should be thankful for the Z because it has made those companies improve their cars.

Mid 04's already do. Front anyway, don't know if the rear's any different in Europe.
