Apart from inspections, checks, and oil and filter changes, dealer suggest I also get my fuel injectors flushed for an extra $100. Should I do it???
I just had my 7500 mile service done and seriously wished I hadn't flushed all that money down the drain for no apparent reason.
Now I'm confused about the 15,000 mile service. What does it involve and what do we NEED to get done?

Oil change, transmission oil change, air filter change, they check the tires, inspect the brakes and other misc. checks.
Am I correct?

my dealer only charged me for the oil change and my yearly state inspection at my 12month/15000 mile service. she said "we realized your car doesn't really need anything but the oil change, the inspection, and our normal once-over. it really doesn't make sense to charge you for the entire $150 (or whatever it was) for the service when you don't need it all."
maybe you can get your dealer to do the same.
oh...the injector thing is a definate scam.

just had my 15k service done...
initial price was $239 - but after my service rep went down the list of things to do, half of them i didn't need...
i.e. i've got aftermarket wheels/tires, so i certainly wasn't going to let them do the tire rotation, and i've got the popcharger, so i didn't need a new air filter....
basically, i paid about $150 for an oil change, coolant flush, chassis lube (
), and their once over on the belts, hoses etc, which i pretty much do weekly..... i didn't get the injector question however...
i must say the coolant flush was worth it though - the temp gauge reads noticeably cooler than it used to.....

Owners manual says NO injector additives ,you could do more harm than good . Also , if you have any experience with cars , dealers , and service intervals ,you would already have the answer .

Just don't do an oil flush, its not necessary, unless you have 90,000 miles on your car. Even then, if you are putting in fresh oil and a filter at more than manufacturer recommendations, its still probably overkill.

Stay away from injector cleaning unless you have reduced flow. The injectors do not repond well to caustic cleaners and unless they are plugging up I would not recomment it

i had read that on the Z32 that the fuel injector cleaners had caused the fuel tank to rust. but apart from that. i too have never seen them do any damage.
My dealer had a maintenace schedule and for 7500 and 15000 they want like $239 or $269 to do service at those intervals. like system cleaner and all kinds of things. ummm how about no.

Wow! You guys are tight... my 15000 mile service cost me a LOT more than $100...
Of course, my service consisted of the usual... plus Nismo Cam install... plus header install... plus Crawford plenum install... plus UR Pulley install... and a few other goodies!

Despite repeated reminders from the dealer, I did the 7500 myself - oil/filter and air filter. A little lithium grease on the hinges and topped off the fluids. "Bout an hour total, most of which was removing the bottom pan. Oh, and the oil filter turned off by hand, and really easily at that. Keep it away from your dealer whenever possible! Of course it helps to have a friend with a heated 4-stall pole barn (who just happens to store his cherry '73 'Vette in it)
