Hello! I have a 2003 Nissan 350z Touring Coupe, and I just got a P1615 Check engine light code that says "1. Immobilizer Key Code Error 2. New Key, Or Key Unmatched" And I am super confused why it says that, it is the same key that I have had for a while with no issues.. and also wouldn't the car not start if there was an immobilizer error? Its stumping me for sure.
Its an issue with the immobilizer, and after you get that code a few times it will lock you out. Easiest fix is to just bypass NATS completely with an Uprev reflash, you can do it from the comfort of your own home and never have to worry about getting locked out. Cheapest fix is going to be just the NATS bypass or for a little more you can get it tuned as well and have a car that's much more fun to drive. I'll PM you
