JWT Lightweight Flywheel w/ stock flywheel bolts... Blue or Red Loctite?
I'm a little conflicted on what Loctite to use when it comes to installing the lightweight flywheel onto the engine, using the stock (but new) flywheel bolts. I've been told to use BLUE Loctite instead of RED and I've also been told to use RED Loctite instead of BLUE. I've looked on other forums for different vehicles to see what they used, and I get the same results. There is A thread on here that talks about it and the majority seem to say BLUE, but it never clarifies what kind of flywheel they're using. Would have to assume STOCK but I'm not sure if that really matters. The directions say to use RED Loctite on both the flywheel and pressure plate bolts. But I just want clarification from those who are running this setup, if they actually went with RED Loctite on both OR did they go against that and use BLUE Instead. In the end, I just don't want to do something that I'll regret later down the road. Installing this flywheel on a VQ35DE(NON-REV) if that helps.
Holiday weekend advice- blue loctite is just one step stronger than the red version. I wouldn't sweat it too much using either one, just make sure to use a small amount and torque the flywheel and pressure plate bolts to the recommended specs. In the end, if you follow the install instructions properly you won't regret it.

Other way. Blue then Red then Green. Blue is what I always use. Red is for stuff you intend to be permanent. Green is for when you wanna weld something, but don't have a welder.

That's the one thing I always got confused about when people say, "Red is for stuff you intend to be permanent". Maybe not word for word but practically the same message. When I loosened my Driveshaft bolts, they all had evidence of Red Loctite being used but I was able to get them off using a box wrench and a socket. Only used a little heat on two of the four bolts too. Maybe I'm just taking the words too literal?
The installation instructions say to use red. I used red when I did the JWT clutch/FW combo. Torque the FW bolts to 70-75 ft.-lbs and the clutch bolts 30-33 ft.-lbs. Don't overthink it.

"Intend to be permanent" doesn't mean it is permanent, just that you intend it to be.
Given that mfgr says RED, use RED. Red is particularly good in high vibration applications. As Cobra said, it can be removed. Very easily with a lot of heat cycles (or applying heat).
