Default New Tires… Help! (Not Stock Specs)

Hello! I have a 2003 Nissan 350z, and I need new tires for the fronts, but I don’t know what sizes of wheels I need or I can get, and im wondering if I could get these? not sure, so looking for input, im a newbie to cars so any help would be appreciated, but here is a picture of the specs on my Riken Raptors (whatever that is &#128514 Also just a note, my wheels are smaller all around than the stock ones, I just already know this, but either way, would these tires fit???

I wanna see someone trying to mount 195/45-15s on 18" wheels.

Seriously, I think you'd best go to a tire shop to get you set up. They might still sell you the cheap tires (and I have no problem with that; like that cheapass set of Ling Longs I had on my 32). (Surprisingly OK at 4 for $250. used for commuting but you can see from second pic that I didn't shy from trying them out in the Berkeley Hills... only cooked 'em once.... somewhat intentionally to see how "bring-back control" was.)

Seriously, don't take this the wrong way but if you have to ask if 15" tires will fit on your 18" wheels (let alone 30mm narrower).... trust the pros at the tire shop. Or, at least shift your Amazon/eBay shopping to 225/45-18 or 245/40-18.

Ling Longs... WTF. Ha!

All good.

Example size: 245/40-18

245/40-18
^
Tire tread width

245/40-18
^
Aspect ratio - sidewall height - expressed as a percentage of tread width

245/40-18
^
Wheel diameter

You can easily calculate a tire's diameter (hence, circumfrence and revolutions per mile) from the tire size.

Height: (((245/25.4) x .40) x 2) + 18 = Diameter (in inches)

Excuse the misplaced parentheses....

EDIT: Ooops, formatting screwed up in phone

OK...

245 = tread width (in mm)
40 = aspect ratio (%age)
18 = wheel diameter (inches)

That’s so helpful thanks, I appreciate you explaining it more! what I ended up doing was just buying a new set of wheels to get the right thickness (10.5 inches all round instead of 6 inches all around) and they have some Nitto NT01’s on them for a really good deal $500
