Questions about compression rod
So I’m installing these and both are torque to 64 foot pounds but look how one has way more threads than the other. Any idea what’s going on or just leave it?

IIRC those compression rods have a tapered seat that goes on the ball joint. That tapered seat sits between the spindle and the compression rod ball joint.
If you have an incorrect tapered seat, usually if the tapered seat doesn't sit flush with the spindle.
Also, someone could correct me here, but I think there is a washer that sits between the castle nut and the spindle. Of course if thats the case, OP is missing it on both sides which doesn't explain the thread difference but more of a missing washer comment.

tapered seat is my final answer then. check to see if they are the same ones, and if not make sure both are OEM.
But if you just take the route of putting a cotter pin through, you could be fine...
worst case scenario is without the correct taper seat, it doesn't distribute the weight evenly and break causing clunking.

If you need new tapered seats, they are available from CZP and they are the same ones used on the rear knuckle. That's not easy to track down last time I did it.
