Default 350z Engine sounds like a motorbike and runs rough

So I just replaced my rocket cover and gaskets recently on my 2003 Nissan 350z and now the engine sounds almost like a motorbike. I had issues with oil in the spark plug wells making the engine run really rough at time but now it’s just all the time. I heard it might be my injectors and they were a little tough to take out and put back in when I was doing the rocket cover replacement but I don’t know if that’s the issue???

When I turn on the car and open up the engine bay it does look like my engine shakes a bit I can’t really tell if it’s a massive shake or just because the engine is running. I’m very stumped I really just wanted to fix the oil in my spark plug wells and just keeps giving me problems. Please help if u can.

Did you mix up coil-packs on cylinder 4 and cylinder 6?

As in the spark plug coils? Is there a specific coil for a each cylinder because I tried to keep them all the same and cylinder 5 does have a new coil.

The actual ignition coils dont matter which cylinder they go into but ignition coil wire connector for cylinder #4 and ignition coil wire connector for cylinder #6 are often mixed up …

Unplug coils on cylinder 6 and cylinder 4 and start the car for a few seconds and see if the motorbike sound is still there … if it is not than you likely mixed these up.

Thank you for that I fixed it 👍 ended up being cylinder 1,3 and 5 coil wires that were mixed up will take a photo next time.

I’m also experiencing some engine shaking I’ve had it shake very minimally before but now I can feel it while I’m sitting in the car on idle. Any hints to what could be causing it ?

I’ve been running into the exact same problem. TOOO THE TEEE. Had leaky valve covers, replaced them and gasket. Put a new intake manifold on. Change the plugs which 5-6 had oil on them. 1 had fuel in the ignition side. I had 4-6 coil wires mixed up got it to run. But still sounds like a motor bike. And missfiring. Ima look at my other plug wires and double check. But I’m leading to fuel issue with fuel on my spark plug. But I’m not a mechanic so I’m stuck.
