350z both windows are not working
Have been having some issues with my windows in my car. The driver side window intermittently was working and then not working. The passenger side was having the same issue. purchased new switch and did not resolve issue. unplugged harness from the door to the body and cleaned out some sand and made sure connections are good because you could wiggle the plug and the speaker would cut in and out and the mirror power was not working either. the light comes on on the switch and i’m getting a full 12v out of the white wire on the harness but i still can’t get it to work. trying to wrap my head around fixing this
Were both windows still rolling down at the same speed as each other when you did the keyfob trick? Different speeds would have indicated aging motors on the way to failure.
Intermittent motor failure could simply need new brushes on the motors. They failed as more hairs broke loose until now there are not enough to pass the juice along. How to source those? Yikes. It may be easier to patrol the local junkyard circuit for wrecks and pull those motors whole. Get there first as they hold generic value as motors.
Pulling the current motors apart, deep cleaning, re-greasing the gears etc is not a bad piece of maintenance at their age now. Plenty of youtube for that. Model train videos will show that process as well as searching car window motors.
That both failed at roughly the same time is the odd thing. But maybe not so odd if both from same production batch, for example.

The power mirror and door speaker issues are a red flag. Possibly damaged wiring at the flexible harness between the body and door frame. Try wiggling that piece of the harness while operating the power window or mirror and see if you can recreate the problem. You could have damaged wiring under the shielding. Test and verify by checking continuity between the bulk connector and switch plugs.
Without looking at the wiring diagram, I would wager all the accessories in the door are sharing the same Ground and +12V source. If it were only the windows with a problem that indicates a problem with one or both window switches (driver or passenger side) or a wiring fault between them. But with the power mirror and speaker also acting up, I suspect there’s a wiring fault at a main bundle. Could be pinched wires with damaged insulation.
Good luck!

Thanks for all the comments. 03's have so many issues. I cleaned the door harness out and the speaker and mirror started working. The windows would still not work, I ended up splicing the white wire on the door harness (constant power) to the pink wire with a quicksplice connect and everything works now. Basically jumping power straight to the pink wire with the white when the car is on and everything works fine. Strange issues but its resolved now.
Be careful with splicing circuits together like that. The window motors draw heavy current from the electrical system, you may find yourself popping fuses or worse, melting wires if you pull heavy current for a longer duration. This might be unlikely given that the windows aren't operated for more than a few seconds, but just something to be aware of. What was the gauge (Awg) of the pink wire you spliced into? The power mirrors don't draw much current (Amps), so if that pink wire is for them, proceed with caution. Also be careful not to install fuses that exceed the current carrying capacity of the wiring. Doing so can lead to the wire insulation melting, causing a short, and potential fire.
All this is to say, you should continue working to find the source of the break in the circuit and return back to the original wiring configuration over a splice job.
Cheers!
