Question Damn.....another exhaust question

If I ran test pipes with the rest of my exhaust being stock, would it be noticably louder/Raspyer (sp?)? I like the sound of the exhaust, but just want it a little louder. Thats all.

it should be louder, i put on the cats with stock exhaust and a louder tone was noticeable around 3k+ rpm.

it will be louder for certain. it will also get raspier, atleast thats what I was told/heard when I researched this a few weeks ago. theres sound clips floating around that you can hear it clearly. it would seem the Z exhaust is carefully setup in every way(cats, resonator, and muffler) to hide that pop, remove any 1 or more parts, and youll get it back.

I dont really care... as IMO again from research, not experience. the sound seems more noticable when RPMs were coming down, specificily from free revving. I found it appeared to be less of an issue when actually driving with a load.

Thanks for your thoughts. I might try and find used set to try this out. Do we think there will be any preformance gains? I'm thinking this and a few stickers and I'll be way over 400rwhp!
