Car wont start after new Starter, Headlights and Taillights blinking on and off
I have a 2003 350z. Had trouble with the car starting, we can push it down the road and jump start it and it would run, Pulled the starter out because thinking it was bad and it was, put a brand new one in and it started up by itself after we charged the battery. Let the car run for about 10 minutes, shut it off then tried to start it again and nothing happened. Opened the door and the headlights and taillights started blinking like the hazards are on. looked it up and saw that it might have something to do with the battery terminals being bad. but the car is getting 13 volts and everything is working as it should electrically. checked the fuses and everything and there doesnt seem to be a short anywhere. while the car was running i disconnected the battery to see if it was an alternator problem and the alternator is fine.
Voltage when the car is on should be about 14V. How old is the battery? Check them battery terminals really good to make sure they are on there tight and no corrosion on the cables. You should take it to a reputable shop that can do a load test on in it. Not just hook up a multi meter and check for volts. Did the car just start doing this or have you had this problem before?
car just started doing it. im thinking its the terminals, i got brand new terminals that im gonna put in today, heard it could be the cam/crank sensors so if the terminals dont work then might try those. did just run codes and i have a P0335, P1122, and P1126 Codes, thr P0335 is the crank sensor but i took it out and checked it and it was fine.
How do you know the crank sensor is good just by looking at it? I think theres a certain way of testing a sensor but its definitely not just by looking at it. I would replace the crank sensor. Make sure your purchase oem sensor.
