DE Secondary Tensioner Won’t Collapse. SOS
I am currently working on trying to remove the cam sprockets. I’ve unbolted them but am having serious issues collapsing the secondary tensioners to pull them off. The one on the left bank collapses with very little force and gives no issue but the right bank is either seriously tensioned or stuck. I’ve tried rotating the cams slightly to try and relieve tension while using a flathead to pry up on the plunger, but no luck. It collapses slightly but not enough to place a paper clip through the pin hole to keep it closed. I tried using penetrating fluid and letting it all soak in case there is junk keeping it stuck open but still no luck. I’ve scoured forums and have yet to find a way to proceed. My primary chain , main tensioners, and cam bolts are all removed for context on what i can and can’t do. Any suggestions would seriously be appreciated! I am contemplating cutting the chain lol i’ve been stuck here quite a while without any idea on what else to try.

Cut the chain, if you're replacing the timing set anyway.
I don't know the inner workings of the secondary cam tensioners, but that strikes me as being very odd. These should collapse by hand (AFAIK), I don't recall there being any kind of specialty tool required for resetting them (like many German cars).
I don't have 1st hand knowledge/experience, this is based on watching YT vids and reading forums.
