Default Camshaft timimg jumped..How to get back in time?

I posted this awhile back
Took a break from the car for awhile
Did Oil gallery gasket replacement
both sides cam timing jumped
PLEASE help me resolve this
I've heard about turning them backwards with a strap wrench using cam outer boss until everything is lined up again.
To be clear the chains never jumped, the cam/VVT assemblies rotated forward
Will/Can i damage a valve doing this/Clearance issues?
Thank you
someone on here has to have been through this?

The front cover still off? Use a 17mm socket on the bolt to rotate them back. If the bolt is tightened to the correct torque, it won't loosen.
