The "race" spec balancer deletes provisions for P/S and AC, therefore requiring a custom size belt for the Alternator. But I can find no mention of alignment issues. Is your alternator mounted in the stock location? Also, what engine are you running (DE?). There are different P/Ns for ATI balancers between the DE and HR. Perhaps you got the wrong unit?

918586 - VQ35DE RACE
918588 - VQ35DE STREET

918584 - VQ35HR STREET (4% underdrive)
918565 - VQ35HR RACE (Dry Sump, stock diameter)
918566 - VQ35HR RACE (Dry Sump, 15% underdrive)

As a side note, I went with a Fluidampr on my DE for daily/street use (keeps things simple). Maintains OEM diameter/alignment, doesn't need to be rebuilt regularly (maintenance free). Pricier upfront, but worth it for the long-run. The more I looked into the ATI options, the more I realized they weren't a good choice for dual-purpose use (street/track).

Cheers!

Looks like you're missing the tensioner bracket, but looking closely, there's no way it would have fit with the race spec ATI damper (see photo). Looks like custom fab was your best option. Good work! Looks clean!
Cheers!

dont need the tensioner, now i can adjust tension with alternator bracket, and yes it wont fit anyway.
