every where i drive people try to race me, alllll the time, doesnt matter what road im on and its almost always rice boys. its just annoying when your driving all you hear is whinning exhaust and some ricer trying to get you to race for 10 million miles. does this happen to anyone else or is it just me?

 

I never race anyone on the street, well, since I went to jail for it...

So it is annoying because I want to, but never will again.

No one has ever approached me to race. I thought a few times they were but it never happened. Maybe when they pull up they see a 45 year old guy and just assume I would not consider it...............Damn!!
Maybe I need to be more aggressive.

 

I know what you mean. Just because I'm 41, bald, drive around with my kid and in bed by 10:00 doesn't mean that . . . um, never mind.

 

haha thats funny, because ever since I got my Z hardly anybody around here ever wants to race me anymore. Before this I had a modded up '93 ford probe GT and used to get races ALL the time. I couldnt drive more then 30 mins without getting somebody trying to test it out. But ever since I got the Z I guess people are scared of it I hardly ever get a race..

 

PT Cruiser tried to race me the other day...He pulled up next to me and says: "Hey I raced a 350Z the other day and he only beat my by half a car length"

"Great" I reply....And he proceeds to rev up his PT Cruiser (which sounded HORRIBLE) he had some after market turbo on it with the stock exhaust...it was bad.

I just laughed and let him spin his tires and take off on his own.

Fun stuff.

 

A Honda Accord (2000) coupe V6 was trying to race me, and i just run for it, and when we run by the 60 Fwy, the accord is going on the frwy, and one popo turn on the lights, and i thought " sh*t, i am gonna get and ticket" but instead , popo turn on the frwy and chase dat accord. Phew~ good **** i didn't get another ticket.

 

The only one that tried to race me was another Z. Nobody else even tried to take me on. I'm not as aggressive (still break-in period) so I don't get any challenges...yet. In my neighborhood, I don't see as many ricers but I think racers know the power of the Z.

Anyone else get challenges from other Z owners? Where's the love?

 

I don't see many Z's around here so never tried to run one. The funniest thing happened though on the way home from work today. Like three hours after I made the previous post in this thread saying nobody ever trys this hoopty honda CRX pulls up and starts revvin his engine trying to get me to go. well, I could never hold myself back from taking a Z so i completely smoked him. by the time i hit 70 i think he was goin 40

Funny you should post this. But the other day , a piece of crap lil honda, or whatever it was started to rev up when we were at a light. He almost goaded me into a little fun. That was until I heard the psssst psssst. Have a feeling that with nitrous, I would just have embarrased myself,(not to mention all other Z owners)....

 

The "Rice Boys" always stare and drool but they never rev at me....Must be the exhaust Note or something

 

Hmmmmm.... checked your profile and no mention of your age. Also, one of your last posts said you ALMOST walked out the door with Z, Why no pics? Something tells me you AINT got one. Or if you do it's probably not from this century. Many youngins can't afford a 350z or 350ZTR. So, maybe by the time you hit 41 to 45, then you'll get one. Oh, but wait. You'll be dead, so you won't be able to enjoy it. p.s. If you got the real thing, then I will eat every word I said. Also, I mean this post all in fun. "FLZ", Dave
