Question Front tow reciver problems

I have a 2007 350z grand touring and I have recently noticed after having the z for about 3 years that I dint have a front receiver for a tow hook and was wondering if that is just me because ive read online that every z has one and after checking the aluminum bumper itself it doesn't even look like had ever been of there its the oem factory bumper downst look like one was even cut off and im wondering where I can find a new bumper thar has the tow hook mount and hook I have also realized there isn't a spot in the hatch for a tow hook to sit either any thoughts as to why my z i like this???

Just to be clear - you're saying that your aluminum crash bar behind your front bumper does not have this welded to it? And there is no sign that it used to be there and it has been removed?

That would be strange. There is no attachment point to the bumper itself. You have to look in the front grille to see it. They're available for purchase. Part # 62030-CD705 for 05-08.

The rear tow point is on the LH hanging down by the exhaust. This is all assuming your Z is USDM...

If you have zero two points, I guess the PO was 100% confident s/he would never need to be pulled anywhere and removed them for weight savings/because racecar.

Sorry- even Z racecars need tow hooks to comply with rules. And there's never been a tow hook attachment on USDM Z33 hatches as the OP mentions. I suspect he's not looking in the right place(s).

That flappy black fabric thing is called a tow strap. They look to be mostly useless and the kewl kids throw them on there to make it look like a racecar, I guess...

Sorry D - I did not actually mean it was a racecar. I was being somewhat tongue-in-cheek and saying "because racecar" as the explanation for something useless. lol.

You should still have the threaded triangle-shaped metal piece welded in the middle of the aluminum crash bar. If not, and you really want it, get a new crash bar and install it. They're about $70 on the fleabay. Probably cheaper than having a new piece welded on.

I'm still not understanding the question about the rear. There are plenty of aftermarket ugly hooks that are available.
