Showing off the Z at Mt. Rainier!
Well I finally got the chance to take the Z out for a long drive. I tricked the wife into a drive around Mt. Rainier here in Washington State. I told here it would only take an hour or so each way. Ok so it was more like a 5.5 hour trip around the mountain. Anyone that lives up here knows that this is one of the best drives in WA. Here is a link to the map for reference http://www.nps.gov/mora/pphtml/maps.html We picked a great day to head up to Paradise Lodge near the base of the mountain. The road is as curvy as it gets the entire way with sweeping switchback turns near the top. Since there are not many straight aways you have to know the limits of the car in order to pass the occasional Silver Backs (aka: Old People) in the motor homes. I was grinning from ear to ear the whole way. I think more people were looking at the car then the mountain. St. Helens is next on my list for a day trip. We might have to get a group of 350z’s together for a tour down South. Not sure how many new Z owners in the Puget Sound area read this board, but I would be up for a trip. (Gotta get to it while the sun is still out) we won’t see it for another 5 months.
Here are a few shots of the Z.....

The second pic looks like you're trying to race the mountain. I'm sure you can run circles around it, but in 10,000 years it'll still be there, and the Z will be ancient history. By then, the whole alphabet might be ancient history, in fact.

That is absolutely beautiful.. I visited WA State over the summer and made a trip down to Mt. Rainier. It is a beautiful area. There is nothing close to it in GA. The Z fits in with the beautiful Surroundings

You know, in 1995 I took a trip to Seattle and took the drive around Mt. Ranier. I NEVER SAW the mountain! Darn fog ruined it for me. I did get to see Mt. St. Helens, or what's left of it, though.....
