My wife wants a Z, I just bought the RX-8 because I liked the way it rode, and the interior was better......what do you think?

If you have the money, get a Z also.

 

I would have bought the Z, but I needed a back seat!!!

 

Maybe G35 Coupe. Its very similar

 

hell yah,if i wanted luxury id go with the G35and it has a back seat like ssk said...

but this is the way i look at it...you could have the Z..and get your wife a van or something to drive the kids around.

 

I was considering an RX-8, then I went to the rx8forums....

Too many major problems over there (flooding, gas mileage, other reliability issues)...I think the only major problem the Z is is transmission, and I think for the most part its been fixed for 04

 

Don't forget we still have tire feathering issue from what I know.

I have to see what happens to my tires after about 5-8K mi.

 

I looked at the G35, but it is butt ugly....the Z however is fine.....And my wife does not do vans...here she is in her last car...

It's the first year for the RX-8, so it prolly gonna have some kinks and problems. Shoulda waited. Hopefully the mazda dealerships/service isn't bad.

BTW, didn't mazda buy a lot of RX-8s back from their customers because they were complaining about over rated horsepower?

 

Get her the R/C 350Z for her to drive and play ............. just kidding

well for me Both car looks great. BUt this is how i define both cars

350Z = Very High Class Style and Looks or This car will always make people think you are a rich person
RX8= Rice or more for younger people who love a racing car. This car 100% need to be Riced up and will always be a Japanese car

 

RX-8 is a fun car but a little lacking in the ***** section. You have to drop the clutch at 7,500RPM just to get a decent launch. If you dont....even a Mazda 6 will beat you to the 1/4.

I should know...I got pulled over test driving one. Good thing the cop let me go. Also the lady at the dealership kept telling me how it was much faster than that "new Nissan"---tell that to the poor Mazda customer who just ran one on the street and spent a long time staring at the rear plates.


That being said I give it major props in the handling department.

 

I think you made the wrong decision. Which is why you're on a 350z board asking us

Honestly man, did you do any research before buying this thing? They are losing motors left and right. Some have barely 1000mi's on them.
