Default gloves for drag racing

for those of you using gloves when drag racing what kind are you using? i'm looking for regular sized gloves (like batting gloves) that are grippy and maybe a little padded... i found a thread through search, but only saw these leather gloves or big gloves that go close to your elbow... i hate when my palms get sweaty at the dragstrip... i ordered mechanics gloves from greddy but they were out of stock, they just e-mailed me back saying they got them in, but i dunno if the mechanics gloves were what i was really looking for... any suggestions?

I just ordered the Alpinestars MP gloves for driving. They're multipurpose and affordable (about $30).

You can do a search for where to get them. I got them from ridegear.com.

It's drag racing - just zip-tie the steering wheel in the straight ahead position. Then just mash the gas. You don't need gloves for that.

not for the steering wheel, for the shifter...sometimes my palms get sweaty in the heat and i mis-shift... maybe i'll try the zip tie thing and use two hands to shift
