Default help please...shift light

i ordered the pivot shift light system...it says all you gotta do is hook it up to a 12v power...but dont i have to hook it up to a source that senses the RPM's? i dont think it can sense it through a power wire...

what to do any advice?

Smile Pivot Shift Light

Most pivot shift light systems that I have seen plug directly into the cig. lighter or auxillary power outlet or are connected directly to a 12v source.

In addition to the light, there is a small box that reads the current and somehow picks up the electronic impulses of the motor.

I would suggest you go to google or some other search engine and research it for more detailed information.

basically same thing except you can actually see this one. when im drivin hard i cant see the rev light go on. the pivot is much brighter and ill be able to see it.

you can adjust the shift point, the intensity of the light, and thats pretty much it. i didnt want to get one of those HUGE autometer shift lights you see in muscle cars i wanted something small.
