VDC worth getting Perf over Enth?
Thanks for all the input. Seems to be good arguments on both sides. This will be my first sports car, so VDC sounds like what I'd need. The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to find any DB Perfomance models around! There seem to be more Enth models in the dealers inventory on the Nissan site than Perf. I'll have to let a dealer try to find a DB Performance for me.
I'll be getting the Z in about a month, can't wait! I'm going from a 98 Ford Escort
(my college car) to a brand new Z. What a difference! My wife has a nice Jeep Wrangler ready for rock crawling, and she loves it. My turn to get my dream car. This summer should be fun racing the Z and rock crawling the Rubicon in the Jeep.

I wanted VDC when I got the car. It is nice at times. I can't say that it has saved me, though.
IMO, the Nissan VDC is overly agressive in some situations so much so that it can be a detriment. A little acceleration wheel spin, or a bit of slip going into second gear are not reasons for the nanny in the computer to come out. For instance, if I am pulling into traffic and realize a car just changed lanes into my lane and I need a bit more throttle, but instead I get slammed with VDC lost power and braking on the spinning wheels, it does not a happy MannishBoy make.
I just wish it was a bit more forgiving ala a Corvette.
I would most likely buy a car with it again if given the choice, but I wouldn't lose sleep without it, either.
This coming from a guy who hydroplanned my last car into a divider in a sudden storm.
