Just waiting and anticipating...
There was this great flurry of activity and excitement with the recent sighting of the Z and the new pictures of all the colors a great upswing in the excitement lever. Right now, I sense that things have quieted down.
There are alot of threads about confirmation dates, Zaino, license plate holder, etc.. All good threads but not what we really want to hear.
Everyone is waiting for some major news whether it's the final specs or delivery dates. In the meantime, i'm just killing time here. Hoping for some small item or bit of information to make my day.
Is it just me? Am I reading way too much into this? Should I get a hobby? Walk the dog? Or just generally get a life?

I think I am in the same pathetic boat as you. I did the same thing with my current car...now I'm doing it again...blah! It's exhausting, tedious and fun all at the same time.
I for one hope my car doesn't come until October or November...it will give me time to peruse the G35 Coupe.

I thought I was working my way to pathetic but you may be right and I have probably crossed over that line a while ago and didn't realize!
Ain't that a beaaaatch!!

Count me in too. It's totally pathetic, I can't go a day without checking this site. Damn you Nissan! Hurry up and build me a car!
Only kidding Nissan. Take your time and make it a good one!

Friday.
That's when I predict we will have something new to chew on over the weekend. Recent history says so:
Friday, May 17th:
Chrome Silver pics posted at my350z.com
Friday, May 24th:
Daytona Blue/Brickyard pics posted at my350z.com
Friday, May 31st:
Silverstone pics posted at my350z.com
(and, oh yeah, the other source of information, Nissan, updated the pics on their website)
Friday, June 7:
What do we want now?
I put in for a vacation day for this Friday. What to do, what to do, what to do.

Boy! I can't decide whether to be relieved because what I was beginning to think of as obscessive behavior is really normal.... or worried because what I was hoping was normal behavior is really obscessive. At least I'm not alone.
Spending way to much time on line....but no more than anyone else

Man I'm really sick with this too. I was out of town all last week without internet access, so my brain sprung forth with a 350Z dream to fill the void. It was actually really sweet! I was driving around Dallas in my brand new Z, showing it off to my buds. Strangely enough, it sounded just like the exhaust on the fairlady site...
Just to prove to myself that I wasn't addicted to this site, I left town early Friday, May 24. Didn't bring my laptop with me. Saturday afternoon, happened to see a computer in the lobby of the hotel and logged on. All of the new pictures were up!! Spent the next hour and at least an hour a day for the rest of my trip trying to catch up and drooling over the gorgeous pictures.
I now just have to admit it. I am an adict. I log on at least 5 times/day even during slow news times like now.

I'm in the same boat (looking for new information every day). Some productive uses of time geared toward getting the most out of your Z:
1) Read SPEED SECRETS: PROFESSIONAL RACE DRIVING TECHNIQUES by Ross Bentley.
2) Read PORSCHE HIGH-PERFORMANCE DRIVING HANDBOOK by Vic Elford (covers both front engine and rear engine techniques).
3) Scope out a good tint shop. Determine if tinting is for you and, if so, what specific tint you want. (I plan to tint.)
4) Scope out XM radio. (Next mod after tinting.)
5) Find a good high performance driving course that's offered near you.
6) Plan a nice driving vacation. (I'm East Coast so the Blue Ridge Parkway will probably be mine.)

Just sent a request to NNA to inquire if they are going to give us ANY more info prior to the arrival of our cars. Also told them that most of our dealers know less than we do about things ... so please don't give us the standard line " talk to your local dealer".
I'll post whatewver they pass on to me.. I'mm not holding my breath.

i feel the same way but you know i have finals now at school which takes up enough of my brain capacity...the 350z is the 2nd most brain-capacity-taker...yeah. and i don't even have a 350z on order!
