Pads going out already?
Is this freaking possible? i have 5k miles on my Z and the pads already sound like metal against metal.... how do i check if its the pads? do i have to take the wheel off or can i just visually inspect?

Mine had to be changed at 12000miles. I dont brake hard but do alot of stop and go. I have hawks now. Less dust meaning longer wear. OEM really had too much dust. Take off the wheel to see the pad condition.
You should be able to see from a good angle (with plenty of light). If you've been racing and braking like crazy, I guess it's conceivable to run through a stock set of brake pads in 5K miles
