Default Question about brakes?

I have noticed that the breaks on my Z are a slightly soft. The pedal has to be pressed down with some force in order to make a quick stop. However, the softness allows me to make a smooth stop without an abrupt jerk. Is this normal or should i take it into the dealership to be checked out? I read a post on zcar.com that had a similar problem. The person stated that the car had to be taken into the dealership to "bleed out the brakes. The car now feels great." Not sure what that means exactly. How does the brake feel on your Z?

bleeding brakes means getting any air bubbles out of the lines and cylinders. air bubbles will cause a spongy brake feel. best to do it at dealership as they have the tools to do it.

Just thinking...if you feel your brakes are not right take your car to the dealership and let them look at the brakes. you just might have air in them. it is not serious but does need to be looked at. the sooner the better

i think the previous posts are correct...take it to your dealer cause ive had my Z for 2 weeks and it will stop on a dime and give you five cents change...and it doesnt take very much effort either
